Your seven day Turkey holiday itinerary
| Day1 | Arrive at Istanbul Atatürk Airport; the glorious city with history dating back centuries awaits you with its wonders. Transfer to your hotel and check in. In the afternoon you’ll be picked up from the hotel and taken on a cruise ride along the glorious Bosphorus. Spend the night in your hotel room at Istanbul. |
| Day2 | Begin the day with a hearty breakfast after which check out of the hotel and depart on your escorted coach tour of this amazingly beautiful and historically rich country – Turkey. Today morning drive to Ankara, the capital of Turkey. On arrival begin by visiting the famous Museum of Anatolian Civilization, which is located to the South of the Ankara Castle. This museum houses artefacts from various eras, including the Greek, Roman, Byzantine and the Ottoman period. Then head on to Anıtkabir, the mausoleum of Kemal Atatürk the Turkish war hero. After this set off towards Cappadocia. Journey along the picturesque Salt Lake all the way to 13th century old Seljukian Caravanserai. Delicious local lunch will be provided during the tour and dinner at your hotel in Cappadocia, where you will spend a comfortable night. |
| Day3 | After a healthy breakfast set off to visit the Pigeon Valley near Uchisar, the highest point in Cappadocia. Pass through the beautiful district of Avcılar on your way to the open air museum in Goreme. With beautiful rock cut churches, the open air museum is a sight to behold and is included in the UNESCO World Heritage list. Have local lunch in a restaurant and proceed to the Kaymaklı Underground City. This place was used as a covert shelter by Christians to hide from persecutors. You can shop to your heart’s content in Paşabağı Valley in Zelve and Avanos for handicrafts and pottery. Go back to the hotel for a tasty dinner and spend the night in the hotel at Cappadocia. |
| Day4 | Begin the day with a scrumptious buffet breakfast after which check out of your hotel and set of on your journey to Pamukkale. On your way visit the 13th century old Seljukian masterpiece the Sultanhan Caravanserai. Caravanserai is an inn on the roadside that was used by travelers to rest after a tiresome journey. This Caravanserai is located in the town of Sultanhanı and is the largest caravanserai in Turkey. Upon arrival at Konya, local lunch will be provided. Proceed to visit artistically designed Mevlâna Museum. The museum was earlier the monastery of the Whirling Dervishes and belongs to Mevlâna religious cult. The cult is known for their unique religious ceremony where they whirl in extraordinary flared white robes to attain salvation. You can also watch them perform live at a supplement cost on an evening tour today. From there, proceed to Karatay Theological School. The building is a museum and has beautifully painted tiles on the walls and the dome. After the visits, you will be driven to Pamukkale. Have dinner at the hotel and spend the night in the hotel in Pamukkale. |
| Day5 | After a tasty breakfast at the hotel, start your tour by visiting the ancient Hierapolis whose archaeological museum is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here you can see an open theatre, the Temple of Apollo and the Necropolis, an ancient cemetery with tombs. After a peek into the civilization, we proceed to Aphrodisias. Have lunch at restaurant and then proceed to visit the ruins and then to the museum. After the sightseeing, board the coach for a drive to Kuşadası, a beautiful resort town. Have a tasty dinner and spend the night in the hotel at Kuşadası. |
| Day6 | Begin the day with a delicious breakfast after which gear up to set off for the ancient and antique Greek city of Ephesus. Once there visit the famous Temple of Artemis, which is considered as one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. Next visit the House of Virgin Mary, located on top of the Bulbul mountain. It is a classic example of Roman architecture. Last but not the least, visit the St. John church, a small chapel constructed over a grave in the 4th century. Lunch will be provided during the tour. After this rivetting experience transfer to the airport and fly off to Istanbul. |
| Day7 | After arrival in Istanbul set off for a half day tour. Begin by visiting the Hippodrome of Constantinople and Sultan Ahmed Mosque popularly known as Blue Mosque famous for its beautiful blue Izmir tiles. The mosque has six minarets and the height of the middle dome is 109 feet. Then proceed to visit Hagia Sophia or St Sophia Museum which is considered as the 8th wonder of the world. The art and architecture of this monument is stunning and will leave you startled. In the afternoon transfer to the Istanbul Atatürk Airport and return back home with memories lasting a lifetime. |
